In 2017, My Waterfront Team was called on to reconfigure and remodel the interior of the Bay view Country Club. Many challenges were overcome to give this 1930’s club a fresh new look. The 80+ foot coffered ceiling, a full custom bar, and intricate wood tone moldings fit within the classic style of the club while adding a modern touch to the ambiance. Waterfront worked closely with Kimble+Kimble, an architect and design firm in Harbor Springs, to create a timeless setting for future generations. Returning club members were awestruck by the improvements and the overall feel of the new club.

Not many builders get the opportunity to construct a “man cave” the likes of this impressive space in Northern Michigan. The homeowners and Caroline Kimble, owner of Kimble+Kimble, worked together to design a fun and beautiful continuation of the craftsmen style in the rest of the home. Once the plans were laid, the owners chose the Waterfront Team to make their vision a reality. When the project was complete, local visitors exclaimed “This may be the nicest bar in Harbor Springs!” Complete with a high-end bar arrangement and a state of the art wine cellar this personal bar and entertainment area can hold its own with the finest local establishments.

The owners insisted on keeping the framework of the home “smaller” while finishing the project with top quality materials and a highly customized style. Striking design features demand attention in every room of this unique home. Architect David Kimble, AIA integrated steel components and a sturdy design knowing this home would need to withstand high lake winds. The home is surely built to last and with a unique design by Caroline Kimble, ASID, CKD it will draw the attention of onlookers for many decades to come.

Waterfront Team helped Connie restore and reinvent her classic brick home on State Street in downtown Petoskey. In 2017, plans were made to return this home to its former glory. With Connie’s artistic input, the team was able to pull it off. The buildings foundation was reestablished, its bones straightened and Connie’s well-crafted themes were installed throughout. This gorgeous home, which doubles as Connie’s personal art gallery, stands out on a busy corner of downtown Petoskey. At night, the lighting from the homes front parlor make the street side windows glow reminding the passerby of an old post card they once noticed in a nearby store.
