"We made a decision to hire Waterfront Property Management & Builders to build our vacation home in northern Michigan. The intent was this home would become our full-time residence after retirement. Since this home was a vacation place, there was a significant amount of time that we were not present during the construction. This company was so detailed and trustworthy that we had no concern leaving them full control of the access to the home. They rejected wood back to the supplier when wood was delivered which was not to their stringent requirements. Joe, our project construction manager, was present all the time and watched the execution of work as well as creating the most challenging architectural features himself. He knew the home so well, he knew what time of day the eagles would fly by. He also knew the direction of the wind and told us to plant trees in a certain area to prevent a buildup of leaves. When we took possession of the home, Gregg, the company owner and General Contractor told us, we (as the home owners) did not cut any corners and neither did they. I very much believe this statement. The home is very solid and functional as well as beautiful. The home appraisal came in numerous thousand dollars higher than a home of this square footage, as the appraiser could easily see the built-in quality. The construction experience was always very pleasant. This company is very interactive and frequently consulted us or our architect with questions before proceeding when there were options. Our architect commented he appreciated this very much, as many other construction companies he had experience with would proceed based on cost or causal discussions which were unofficial and would not be directionally correct with the character or quality of the home. It is my pleasure to recommend this builder to anyone."
"Waterfront Property Management renovated my 1903 residence in Petoskey. Under the guidance of Gregg Garn and Zach Cope, the team of specialists did an outstanding job! When faced with the challenges of a century-old building, they persevered with innovative solutions. Their creativity and problem-solving skills were most evident when rebuilding and fortifying my front porch with steel cables, railings and structural columns. Most exciting for me was the job they did installing a fabulous new kitchen and wet bar, and modernizing two bathrooms—all built from scratch. Zach turned my vision into reality—always figuring out a way to make my dreams come to life. I couldn’t have been more pleased with their workmanship and professionalism. Through it all, the entire Waterfront staff made the experience a pleasant one."
"Our log cabin in Mackinaw City, Michigan, was built in 1919 and the second story (original) deck, which was also the roof for the first story, needed to be replaced. It was a big job and there was a lot of uncertainty about what they would discover when they tore off the old materials. Jason was just awesome, had ways of figuring out every little issue that came up, and Zack kept us informed all along the way. The original handmade railing had to be replaced completely because, of course it did not meet current building codes, but they all worked with us to find (and create) a railing that fit in with the rustic nature of the cabin while making the deck safe. They did a lot of little extras along the way, too, and did not mind all my questions. We would very definitely hire them again."
"This was a job 7 hours from my home and I needed local experience and knowledge to count on and Waterfront provided that assurance."
"Waterfront Property helped us when our walkout lower level flooded. They advocated for us with our insurance company and restored our property with the utmost care and detail. Everyone on their staff is friendly and easy to work with. We're grateful to have had such a dedicated team of people from Waterfront Properties at such a stressful time in our lives."
